As a joint project between the County Advisory Committee for Alamo & the Town of Danville, a new play area was created to embrace the historical ranching roots and wester town development. Entering through a Barn Façade, users find the spray pad prominent at the head of "main Street'. Storefronts are replaced with play features on either side of the grassed avenue. The central grassed area functions as a 'town green' with a perimeter trike track. Sand play area with hand water pump is a popular feature that kids can control and manipulate the waters descent. Farm themed wood play equipment reinforces the themed play. This park is a bit hidden but the intimacy and multitude of opportunities including public restrooms, picnic berms, shade structures and group picnic areas rest in the shade of the mature trees make this park a favorite destination.
